Every day, some new transfer rumours begin to spread around. Some ridiculous, some improbable and some possible. Following are a few rumours regarding the top 6 clubs of the English Premier League.
Arsenal
The Daily Mail reports that Sevilla defender Federico Fazio is on the Gunners’ radar to possibly bring some depth into the back four. He’s valued at around £5 million and could possibly make the move, given he has stalled on a new contract.
Sky Italia reports that Arsenal are in preliminary talks with Juventus over a possible deal for either Fabio Quagliarella or Alessandro Matri. Juventus might be willing to let one go, considering they signed Fernano Llorente from Athelic Bilbao.
Caught Offside also reports that a deal for Stefan Jovetic could be done already, with the Fiorentina striker to move to the Emirates in the summer.
Chelsea
The Daily Mail reports that the Blues are in pole position to sign Colombian striker, Radamel Falcao. Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich has supposedly given the go-ahead to sign the star who is valued at £46 million.
Chelsea loanee Kevin de Bruyne is stalling on a Bayer Levekusen deal as he feels he can get into Borussia Dortmund instead, given the fact that they’ve lost Mario Gotze, reports The Daily Mirror.
Veteran defender John Terry has said that he might have to wait till the end of the season to discuss a new deal with the club. The Blues have a policy wherein they only give one-year contracts to players over the age of 30. (The Daily Mirror)
Liverpool
The Red are in talks with Lazio over a potential deal for centre-back Modibo Diakite, reports the The Daily Mail.
Ajax defender Toby Alderweireld has denied claims that he has agreed terms with Liverpool, and insists that his future remains uncertain, reports The Liverpool DailyPost.
Shaktar Donetsk winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan has hired super-agent Mino Raiola in an effort to secure a move to Anfield. Raiola is famous for securing big-money deals for players and has a very close relationship with Manchester United, Juventus and Liverpool, reports The Metro.
Manchester City
The Citizens have agreed unofficial terms with front-man Edinson Cavani. However, it is believed that cash rivals, PSG, have done the same, reports The Mirror. Cavani is valued at around £60 million and would surely add another dimension to either of the attacks.
The Daily Telegraph reports that City striker Sergio Aguero is a summer transfer target for Spanish giants, Real Madrid. If the Sky Blues do buy Cavani, they might let Aguero leave, not for a small amount, though.
According to various sources, City winger Scott Sinclair is a target for Everton and West Bromwich Albion. The winger hasn’t played many minutes at the Etihad and would prefer a move to another club to grow.
Manchester United
The Daily Mirror reports that SAF is ready to spend lavishly to rebuild his squad, as he feels they need improvement to compete in Europe. Radamel Falcao, Robert Lewandowski, and Leighton Baines are all targets for the Champions.
They are also contemplating over a move to bring back Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, according to The Sun. The forward has stalled on a new contract and may be available for a price of £65 million.
SAF is also trying to ward off Manchester City and Liverpool to the signature of highly-rated Sporting Lisbon midefielder, Bruma, reports The Mirror.
Tottenham Hotspur
The Spurs are close to signing Lisandro Lopez from Lyon, as the player has decided that it’s time to leave the French club and move on to a bigger one, reports Metro.
Real Madrid refuse to acknowledge the blasphemous £100 million price tag on Gareth Bale, and are willing to offer the North London club £45 million plus Higuain or di Maria, according to The Mirror.
According to various sources, Tottenham left-back, Benoit Assou-Ekotto is a possible transfer target for Italian giants AC Milan.
